First sketch and test

Our group decided to do the layout by the concept of light and colours. I did a sketch using GIMP(Gnu Image Manipulation Program) which is easier because I don't have to upload the sketches from the paper.

Above is the preview of our calendar, but of course the background is black and all of the coloured part glows. 

And this is what I came up with...I would say it is a prototype - again using GIMP. The layout of this calendar is different because the days are sorted into weeks so that it would be easy to understand. However, the left over days will be turn 90° sideways. Fancy, eh? The holidays at the bottom part will the same colour and glow effect as the days at the top and at the side.

The final outcome will way better than this one and not to mention, each and everyone of us will be doing different designs.
